COSCO Shipping's first 9,000 m³ dual-fuel ethylene carrier, "Control Console" Haien Gebhard—Made in China!
On November 18, 2025, the lead vessel "Xingshengyuan," a 9,000 m³ ethylene multipurpose carrier (N1214) built by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry for Dalian Haineng, was named and delivered in Dalian.
Dalian Haien Gebhard Electrical Apparatus Co., Ltd., in collaboration with China Shipbuilding Marine Technology Co., Ltd. (a specialized manufacturer of communication and navigation equipment), has provided key systems for this landmark vessel, including the bridge control console and GMDSS console. With its outstanding electrical integration solutions, the company ensured a successful maiden voyage.
This vessel is the first of two new-type liquid cargo carriers built under the strategic collaboration between Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry and Dalian Haineng, both committed to advancing the nation’s “Dual Carbon” goals and actively exploring partnerships in the emerging field of new-energy shipbuilding. As such, it places exceptionally high demands on the reliability, stability, and intelligent capabilities of the ship’s supporting equipment. Leveraging its deep-rooted expertise in marine electrical systems cultivated over many years, Haien Gebhard has successfully secured this critical project.
This batch of consoles features a modular, user-friendly design that fully meets the ship's stringent requirements for high reliability and stability in complex sea conditions. The integrated command-and-communication solution, custom-built for the vessel "Xingshengyuan," empowers it to achieve efficient and safe navigation and operational capabilities.
This successful product integration reflects the market and customers' high recognition of Haien Gebhard's product quality and technological excellence. The company will continue to ramp up R&D investments, deeply cultivating the marine electrical systems sector while relentlessly pursuing innovation—particularly in critical equipment such as foghorn beacon lights, electronic inclinometers, and deck-mounted electro-mechanical control cabinets—to deliver smarter, more eco-friendly solutions to our customers.
We look forward to collaborating with shipowners and shipyards—both domestic and international—using our professional and reliable products and technologies to jointly drive the global green shipping industry forward!
