The first “console” of the COSCO Shipping 9,000 m³ dual-fuel ethylene carrier, built by Haien Gebhard!
On November 18, 2025, the first vessel—named “Xingshengyuan”—of the 9,000 m³ ethylene multipurpose transport ship (N1214), built by Dalian COSCO KHI Shipbuilding for Dalian Haineng, was named and delivered in Dalian.
Dalian Haien Gebhard Electrical Apparatus Co., Ltd., in collaboration with China Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. (a specialized manufacturer of communication and navigation equipment), has provided key equipment such as the bridge control console and GMDSS control console for this landmark vessel. With its outstanding electrical integration solutions, it is ensuring a successful maiden voyage.
This vessel is the first of two liquid cargo carriers jointly built by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry and Dalian HaiNeng, as part of their proactive exploration of cooperation in the field of new-energy shipbuilding, in alignment with the nation’s “dual-carbon” strategic goals. It places extremely high demands on the reliability, stability, and intelligence level of the vessel’s supporting equipment. Relying on its years of deep-rooted expertise in the marine electrical sector, Haien Gebhard has successfully taken on this significant responsibility.
This batch of consoles features a modular and user-friendly design, fully meeting the ship’s stringent requirements for high reliability and stability of the control system under complex sea conditions. The integrated command and communication solution, tailor-made for the vessel “Xingshengyuan,” helps it achieve efficient and safe navigation and operational capabilities.
This successful system integration is a testament to the high recognition from both the market and customers of Haien Gebhard’s product quality and technological strength. The company will continue to increase its R&D investment, deeply cultivating the field of marine electrical systems, and especially maintaining continuous innovation in key equipment such as foghorn beacon lights, electronic inclinometers, and deck machinery control cabinets, thereby providing customers with smarter and more environmentally friendly solutions.
We look forward to collaborating with shipowners and shipyards, both domestically and internationally, and together driving the global green shipping industry forward with our professional and reliable products and technologies!
