On March 15, 2021, the MHO ASGARD (ASA102), a Danish twin-hulled aluminum alloy wind power maintenance vessel, held a launch ceremony at Yinghui South.
The ceremony was attended by ship owner supervisor Mr. Jan Rosendal Olesen; Chi Shaoguang, General Manager of DNV GL (China) Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Branch; Lu YunTao, Site Manager; and other leaders and project personnel including Chen Xiaoliang, General Manager of Yinghui South. The ship owner in Denmark witnessed the launch ceremony through a "cloud supervision" platform.
The vessel has an overall length of 34.3 meters and a molded beam of 11 meters. It is equipped with professional imported bow rubber fenders and Yinghui South's unique bow buffer device, as well as a hybrid power system composed of Volvo Penta's IPS propulsion system, Danfoss Editron's power equipment and lithium battery packs. These globally innovative designs significantly improve the service life of the bow rubber and the reliability of berthing at wind turbine foundations, resulting in a vessel with high efficiency, energy saving, and environmental protection advantages.
