Guohong Liquefied Gas has won orders for LNG supply systems for four dual-fuel bulk carriers.
In June 2021, Guohong Liquefied Gas Mechanical Engineering (Dalian) Co., Ltd. (LGM Engineering) signed a general contract with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (SWS) for the LNG supply system of four 190,000-ton dual-fuel bulk carriers. This is the second series of ship orders between Guohong Liquefied Gas and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Company. The complete set of LNG supply system equipment will be delivered to Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Company in March 2022. The shipowner is U-Ming Marine Transport Corporation, classed by DNV.
This new generation of dual-fuel bulk carriers has better economic advantages and meets the latest standards such as the International Maritime Organization's IGF Code, NOx Tier III, SOx 2020, and the 2025 EEDI Phase III requirements, showing superior environmental performance.
Guohong Liquefied Gas will be responsible for providing a complete set of LNG fuel supply systems, including the supply of two single-layer PUF insulated fuel tanks, LNG filling station, high/low-pressure gas supply system, water glycol system, ESD system, and nitrogen system, as well as installation guidance, system commissioning, gas commissioning, and crew training services.
With the continuous improvement of environmental standards and regulations, LNG-powered ships will gradually occupy a larger market share. Guohong Liquefied Gas continuously researches and upgrades its systems according to market demand; the acquisition of this order further demonstrates Guohong Liquefied Gas's strong brand influence in the LNG FGSS field.
