On March 15, 2021, the MHO ASGARD (ASA102), a Danish aluminum catamaran wind turbine maintenance vessel, successfully held a launching ceremony at Yinghui Southern.
Ship owner supervisor Mr. Jan Rosendal Olesen, General Manager Chi Shaoguang and Site Manager Lu Yun Tao of DNV GL (China) Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Branch, and General Manager Chen Xiaoliang of Yinghui Southern, along with other leaders and project personnel, attended the launching ceremony. The ship owner in Denmark witnessed the ceremony through a "cloud supervision" platform.
The vessel has an overall length of 34.3 meters and a molded width of 11 meters. It is equipped with imported professional bow rubber fenders and Yinghui Southern's unique special bow buffer device, as well as a hybrid power system consisting of a Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system, Danfoss Editron electrical equipment, and a lithium battery pack. These globally innovative designs significantly improve the service life of the bow rubber and the reliability of berthing at wind turbine foundations, making the vessel more efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly.
